The McNeil OLS Model 1100 Deburring Machine deburrs the exit face of pinion gears. The entry burr is quite minor and does not require processing.
However, the exit burr created is substantial and must be removed without creating an excessively deep chamfer at the edge.
For this application a single nylon radial brush was chosen to deburr the part on a rotating spindle. The brush
removes the burr cleanly, leaving only a slight edge break. Integrated coolant system keeps brush cool for extra
long life. The Model 1100 deburring machine offers significant flexibility in a compact 24 in x 36 in footprint. It can be easily modified to deburr many part configurations.
