McNeil Industries Launches Roll-Neck Inner Rings and Labyrinth Seals 

Painesville, Ohio, USA – June 1, 2006 – To simplify installation of new rolls into stand-mounted, four-row cylindrical bearing raceways and protect rolling elements from damage, new roll-neck inner rings from McNeil Industries feature chamfered edges. These inner rings are manufactured in sizes up to 400 mm OD from high-strength bearing steel that is case-carburized for increased durability and fracture resistance.

Also new is a full line of labyrinth rings that use a multiple square-thread design to ensure positive lubricant pressure and prevent contaminant inflow. Available in a range of materials, including that used in MAXAM® bearings, the labyrinth rings are produced in sizes up to 400 mm OD.

Both of these new products will be manufactured at McNeil Industries’ new production facility in Painesville, Ohio. This same facility produces the company’s line of MAXAM plain and full-complement cylindrical bearings, which have gained a reputation for performance in steel mill conditions for since the mid-1970s.
